14 may 1915

Dear diary, I was sent as a soldier to Gallipoli on 14 may 1915. We started to dig down the ground  to make a trench when we were done. The Germans fired at us and we fired back but the Germans were too strong. Our men fell like snow  the Germans charged, we did our best but we needed to retreat. Many lives were lost but we charged to the Germans. We charged bravely, it went well and we did some damage to the Germans. I need to go to fight for our country bye. Yours Jackson.

19 may 1915

Dear diary I wanna go home now most of my friends have lost their lives I wish the war was fake. The stench of the body made my nose sick. The flies gaved us diseases. Some of us died from diseases, the same things happening  to Germans. trench.I got shot on my arm by a soldier. I knocked him back and I shot him in his heart. The reinforcements were coming to attack with us . a lot of us died but we were ok. When the Germans retreated we charged again and the enemy's trench was full with blood and dead bodies. I needed to go to the toilet so I just peed in the trench. Everybody was looking at me. The pee smelt bad. I need to go now, the captain is calling me. Yours Jackson.

24 may 1915

Dear diary We meated the Germans and we buried the soldiers who died in the war. It was like a good day for us and the Germans because we were exhausted. Most of the soldiers went to the toilet or rest,and there was food for the soldiers to eat. We called this day an armistice or truce. I had a nap on THE Ground. I felt good because I had some rest. We thought the war would end but it wasn't. We went back to the trench. I need to go now for the battle. Yours Jackson.

29 may 1915

Dear diary Today lots of lives have been lost like always. I became a captain now and I got a cross metal. I commanded the troops to defend the enemy but we stood brave and the enemy retreated. I found a horse in the middle of the field so I took him to the camp. I tamed the horse by giving food and water. I rided him sometimes and he did a good job running around the field. One day I was riding him around the field when an enemy soldier tried to shoot me but I killed him with the bandat on the rifle. Bye I need to do training. Yours Jackson.

4 june 1915

Dear diary, I made a new friend and I drank beer with him. Sometimes I get drunk and fight. We fight together and laugh together like brothers. I let him ride my horse He did a lot of tricks. When he died I was really sad. I bared my friend at the field when I was done when a german soldier came. I knocked him back, he knocked me back but I punched him in the face. He punched me back. I stabbed him with a knife and the other soldier stabbed me too. I fell slowly and the other soldier too. The soldiers took me to the camp. I need to go, I need some rest and i’m ran out of pages. we did this because we were learning about ww1 and it was Anzac day. we needed to choose nurse or solder and you needed to choose months.
